Jefferies, which was purchased this year by Leucadia National Corp. (LUK), its biggest shareholder, has improved its number of employees by about 70% since the end of 2006 to about 3,800.

Leucadia National Corp. (NYSE:LUK) stock hit highest price at $26.16, beginning with a price of $25.93 and reported a gain of 1.48% to the closed at $26.13 with a day range of $25.90-$26.16. The stock is going forward its 52 week low with 36.31% and lagging behind from its 52 week high price with -19.25%.

M.D.C. Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:MDC) stock hit highest price at $32.39, beginning with a price of $31.30 and reported a loss of -6.66% to the closed at $29.99 with a day range of $29.86-$32.39. The total market capitalization remained $1.47 million, total volume of 2.00 million shares held in the session was surprisingly higher than its average volume of 841,261 shares.

QR Energy LP (NYSE:QRE) begun last trade with a price of $16.31 and throughout the trading session climbed at a high of $16.48. The day-trade ended with a decline of -5.36% to $15.17. The stock is going forward its 52 week low with 4.87% and lagging behind from its 52 week high price with -21.73%. QRE last month stock price volatility remained 3.41%.
