Novell, Inc. has Decided to be Acquired by Attachmate Corp. - NASDAQ:NOVL

Novell, Inc. NASDAQ:NOVL : Its being reported on 22nd November that Novell has been in agreement to be purchased by Attachmate Corporation in cash of about $2.2 billion. This news was revealed by the company’s president and chief executive officer. Novell also has plans to sell some of its patents for about $450 million to a consortium of technology led by Microsoft.
Novell, Inc. NASDAQ:NOVL has been on the threshold of continuous growth since past three months. Since the start of September company stock was being traded in the range of $5.60 to $5.80. But then there was an exponential rise in share price and recorded a 52 week high at $6.53 in the end of September. At the start of November the share price was under pressure and was being traded at $5.80 on 1st of November. Since then the condition got strengthened and currently it’s moving ahead of $5.90.
The trading performance on November 22, 2010 of Novell, Inc. NASDAQ:NOVL surged 6.62% with the closing price of $5.96. The overall volume in the last trading session was 182.29 million shares. Its fifty two week range was $3.84- $6.53. The total market capitalization remained $ 2.09 billion.
