Wikipedia Says No to Anti-Piracy SOPA and PIPA Laws: Blackbaud Bids for Convio – (CNVO, BVSN, KUTV)

Wikipedia decided to stand against new anti-piracy laws suggested in the United States such as the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) and Protect IP Act (PIPA) therefore set its English-language site in offline mode.

When users try to open the site a screen appears with a statement to imagine a world lacking free knowledge. Other online protestors include Reddit and Boing Boing while Twitter declined to take part in the blackout.

On the other side in technological news, Blackbaud, which is involved in supporting nonprofit organizations with the supply of software and services to keep record of donors and supporters and build strong relationship with them, submitted a bid of about $275 million for the acquisition of a rival Convio, Inc. Convio, Inc. (NASDAQ:CNVO) commenced last trading with a price of $15.90 and rallied up to $15.91 during the day but finished the trade at $15.89 with a gain of 47.95%.

Shares price of CNVO is ahead its 52 week low with 98.38% and also remained ahead from its 52 week high price with +22.23%. CNVO stock price volatility for a week moved about 2.34%. In share capital CNVO has 18.03 million outstanding shares among them 16.14 million shares have been floated in market exchange. CNVO stock institutional ownership remained 80.55% while insider ownership included 3.72%.

BroadVision, Inc. (NASDAQ:BVSN) started last trading at an opening price of $19.69 and during the session hit at $23.00 but when closing bell rang the stock finally advanced 23.85% to $21.76.

BVSN traded with a volume of 793,148.00 shares, higher from average volume of 128,827.00 shares. The week-performance of the company after last close appeared at +45.55%, 1 year performance moved at +76.91%, and year-to-date performance appeared positive with +98.90% while a month-performance after last trade went up at +99.27%.

Ku6 Media Co., Ltd. (ADR) (NASDAQ:KUTV)began the last trading session with a price of $2.04 and throughout the session climbed at a high of $4.04 but when day-trade ended the stock finally advanced 139.13% to $3.30.

The liquidity measure in recent quarter results of the company was recorded 1.52 as current ratio and on the other side the debt to equity ratio was 0.04. KUTV had a cash of $1.20 per share and a book value per share as $1.54 in the most recent quarter.
